Tots2teens Childcare Services offers day and after school for children aged from new born to 13 years.

As a parent one of the most important decisions you will ever make is to choose the right childcare for the individual needs of your child.

At Tots2teens we provide quality care for children in a clean, safe, secure and caring environment. We encourage all the children in our care to learn through play and to grow up with an understanding and respect of others.

You can contact us by phone or email; we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Additionally you can visit us personally, by prior appointment, so that you can view our setting and the facilities we have to offer.

We are a small family business which was started by Amanda Ball in 2007. Suzannah Duffell joined in 2010 and Natalie Rainey in 2015 ; a mother and daughters partnership. Amanda and Natalie have recently relocated to Seaford East Sussex and Suzannah continues to work in Guildford Surrey.

We are open Monday to Friday 07.00 hours to 18.00 hours however are flexible in order to cater for all needs; we are open Saturday & Sunday by prior arrangement only.

Suzannah, a mother of three works from her three bedroom home based in Gomshall in the Surrey Hills. The house offers open plan kitchen with lounge/diner with patio doors leading to a secure patio area. Suzannah has a small dog called Harry.

Babysitting services may be available via prior arrangement.  

We are registered and inspected by Ofsted. 

We are members of Morton Michel public liability insurance. Suzannah has been awarded the Surrey County Council Early Years Quality Improvement Award. 

At Tots2teens we implement policies and procedures, which we regularly update and amend where necessary. These policies and procedures enable us to provide the utmost safety for all children within our care.

We accommodate the Government funded free early years provision for 3 and 4 year old children as well as the FEET funding for two year olds (children must meet the criteria provided by Surrey County Council).

We at Tots2teens provide a professional childcare service for children aged from newborn to 13 years, our services include:

• Day care / After school care / Weekend care (by arrangement)

• Babysitting services (by arrangement)

• A bespoke service catered around your child’s individual needs

Our usual hours of business are Monday to Friday 07.00 hours to 18.00 hours; however we aim to be flexible in order to cater for all needs. We are able to provide weekend care (given reasonable prior notification). 

We encourage all the children in our care to use Makaton.

We currently care for children from a number of different cultural and religious backgrounds. We offer a bespoke service, which will cater, within reason, for children who require distinct individual needs; including dietary requirements. 

At Tots2teens we will maintain a comprehensive record of your child's daily activities and their progress as young individuals via Babysdays Software system. You will have access to your child's portfolio with a unique username and password. We are registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office – Data Protection).

We promise to provide your child with a safe, fully inclusive environment concentrating on the seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

We promise to provide your child with activities which include stimulating tasks aimed to develop them socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically, with age appropriate toys, visits and activities. These activities will be differentiated to meet each child's needs.

We promise to provide you and your child with an ethical service where the needs of the child come first. 

We believe in the principles of inclusion and equal opportunities. We promise to be flexible in order to provide your child with first class care; regardless of cultural and religious background.

We provide the children in our care the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities. Our regular home based activities include, group play time, messy play, role play and dressing up. At Tots2teens we encourage structured group activities such as reading, singing, circle time, ‘whats in the box?’, baking and playing in the garden.   

Although it is important to create a sense of security and undertake activities in the home, we feel it is essential to expand social skills, to stimulate inquisitive minds, to entertain and meet new people. In order to achieve these aims we attend organised children/baby groups, visit farms, soft play areas, recreation grounds, the library, music and singing, Wisley gardens, museums, arts and craft and many more events; all of which take place within easy reach of the area that we are based. 

We often take the children for local walks or to the forest. Our dogs come on these walks and the children are encouraged to interact with them under supervision. The children look forward to the walks and we believe the fresh air and exercise is good for them. 

All our outings and activities are risked assessed and linked with the Early Years Foundation Stage learning journal. 

We plan, observe and assess the children on a regular basis in accordance with the seven areas of learning set out by Ofsted: 

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development

• Communication and language

• Physical Development

• Literacy

• Mathematics

• Knowledge and Understanding of the World

• Expressive arts and design    

We encourage our children to feel secure by providing a caring environment with carefully planned structured activities. This enables them to grow in confidence and learn through play in a fun way to achieve the goals outlined above.

Although we hold the above qualifications, in childcare and early years practice, we feel it is important for us to continue our professional development, which will allow us to reflect on and to improve the service we provide. We currently attend, and will continue to do so, Information and Cluster Evenings enabling us to build upon our knowledge and skills base.
